Nifty 50 lot size: common questions
The Nifty 50 F&O lot size is 65 units for the Nov 2026 contracts. The Nov 2026, Dec 2026, Jan 2027 contracts all use the same lot size.
One lot of Nifty 50 is 65 units, so 2 lots are 130 and 5 lots are 325. Your F&O order quantity must be a whole number of lots.
Nifty 50 options expire every week on Tuesday, and the monthly contracts on the last Tuesday of the month. The next expiry is Tuesday, 3 November 2026. Whenever the exchange is closed on an expiry day, the expiry moves to the previous trading day.
Yes. The exchange reviews F&O lot sizes from time to time. A change usually applies from a particular contract month onwards, so the current month can keep the old lot size while later months already use the new one. This page updates automatically when that happens.
