Static IP checker: what is my IP, and is it static?
See the IP address your internet connection uses, who your provider is, and whether the IP looks static — before you register it with your broker for API trading.

Why brokers ask for a static IP
Many Indian brokers now accept API orders only from an IP address you have registered (whitelisted) with them, and the rules differ from broker to broker. If your IP changes, some brokers refuse the login, while others accept the login and then reject every order — so it pays to know your IP is fixed before you go live.

How to get a static IP
Ask your internet provider
Many broadband providers sell a static IP as an add-on to your plan. Mobile data can't have one.
Use a cloud server
A cloud server runs your trading software all day with a fixed IP, and you reach it from any device.
Cloud Server for Algo Trading →Get a dedicated static IP
A unique static IP for each trading account, ready to register with your broker — no coding needed.
Virtual Trading Environment →Common mistakes
- Registering a mobile data or phone-hotspot IP — it changes and is shared with other users.
- Registering your office IP, then running the software at home (or the other way round).
- Restarting the router on a normal broadband plan — the IP can change, and orders start failing.
- Running copy trading with only the master account's IP registered — each child account needs its own registered static IP too.
Static IP: common questions
It is the address the internet sees your connection coming from — shown at the top of this page. Every device on the same Wi-Fi or office network usually shares it, so it belongs to your connection rather than to one computer.
A static IP is an internet address that stays the same every day. Most home and mobile connections get a new address from time to time (a dynamic IP); a static IP never changes unless you or your provider change it.
Only your internet provider can confirm it for certain. You can get a strong hint by checking the same connection on different days and after restarting your router — this page remembers your last IP in your browser and tells you if it changed. Mobile data is never static, and home broadband is usually not static unless you pay for a static IP.
Not where your broker asks for a registered static IP. Mobile networks change your IP often and share it between many users, so it can't be registered. Use a broadband connection with a static IP, a cloud server, or a dedicated static IP service instead.
Many Indian brokers require a registered (whitelisted) static IP for API-based order placement, and the requirement differs by broker. Check your broker's current rules to see what applies to you.
Check your broker's rules — often each trading account needs its own registered IP. With MyAlgoMate's Copy Trading Software, plan on a static IP for the master account and one for each child account.
This checker shows your IPv4 address. Some brokers also accept an IPv6 address — ask your broker. MyAlgoMate's Virtual Trading Environment offers both IPv4 and IPv6 options.
Please note
This checker gives strong hints, not a guarantee — only your internet provider can confirm a static IP. We don't store your IP address; the “last time” comparison is kept only in your own browser. Broker rules on registered IPs differ and can change, so please check with your broker. This page is for information only.
