Connecting HDFC Securities Ltd

In the HDFC Sky developer portal you create a Trading API app to get your API Key and API Secret, activate the app, and register a static IP. You enter the API Key and API Secret into the broker login form in MyAlgoMate, and — because HDFC Sky uses a one-time password at login — you complete a quick OTP login each trading day to authorise the connection.

Setting up HDFC Securities Ltd
Step 1 — Create a Trading API app and copy your API Key and Secret
- Log in to the HDFC Sky developer portal at developer.hdfcsky.com (with your HDFC Sky Client ID / email / mobile and the OTP).
- Go to My Apps → Create, register a Trading API app, and submit it.
- Open the app and copy your API Key and API Secret.
Step 2 — Activate your app
Step 3 — Register your static IP (mandatory)
A registered static IP is required for placing orders through the API (SEBI retail algo-trading rules, in force since 1 April 2026). Supply your static IP when you create the app.
- Which IP to use: your ISP's static IP if you run MyAlgoMate on your own machine, or your cloud machine's static IP if you run it on a server.

Step 4 — Enter the details in MyAlgoMate and log in each day
- Open the broker login form in MyAlgoMate and enter your API Key and API Secret, then save.
HDFC Sky uses a one-time password (OTP) at login, sent to your registered mobile or email — not a stored TOTP secret. So each trading day you complete a quick OTP login to authorise MyAlgoMate for the session. This is an HDFC Sky requirement.
What you need to collect
To connect HDFC Sky, the broker login form in MyAlgoMate needs two details:
- API Key — from your Trading API app in the HDFC Sky developer portal
- API Secret — shown with the API Key in the same app
You also register a static IP on HDFC Sky's side, and you complete a short OTP login each trading day (below).
Logging in each trading day
HDFC Sky signs you in with a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile or email — not a stored TOTP secret. So HDFC Sky can't run fully unattended: each trading day you complete a quick OTP login to authorise MyAlgoMate for the session, then it trades to the rules you set. This is an HDFC Sky requirement.
No Redirect URL to enter
You don't enter a Redirect URL for HDFC Sky in MyAlgoMate — MyAlgoMate handles the connection callback. You only create the app for your API Key and Secret, activate it, register your static IP, and complete the daily OTP login.
Static IP — required by HDFC Sky
Since 1 April 2026, SEBI's retail algo-trading rules require a registered static IP for API order placement — HDFC Sky only accepts API orders that originate from your registered static IP. Use your ISP's static IP if you run MyAlgoMate on your own machine, or your cloud machine's static IP if you run it on a server.
