Connect your Angel Broking account to MyAlgoMate and automate your execution — one-click orders, risk controls and fast exits, no coding required.

// HOW WE CONNECT

Connecting Angel Broking

MyAlgoMate connects to Angel One (previously Angel Broking) through Angel One's official SmartAPI. You create your own SmartAPI app — registering a static IP when you create it — enable TOTP on your Angel One account, and then enter your API Key, Client Code, MPIN and TOTP key into the broker login form in MyAlgoMate.

// WHAT YOU CAN AUTOMATE

Use Angel Broking with

Your Angel Broking account works with all 7 of these MyAlgoMate products — plus custom automation of your own strategy.

// SETUP

Setting up Angel Broking

Step 1 — Log in to SmartAPI and create your app (with your static IP)

SmartAPI is free — Angel One does not charge a subscription or fee for API access, so there is no plan to buy before you start. You only need an active Angel One trading account.
  • Go to https://smartapi.angelone.in/publisher-login/v2/login/ and log in with your Angel One account.
  • You will see two options — choose New Login. This creates a new static-IP-based API key, which is the flow Angel One now requires. The plain Login option is only for editing or disabling older API keys.
  • Create a new app and fill in the details:
    • App Name — e.g. MyAlgoMate (no spaces).
    • Redirect URL — set it to https://www.myalgomate.com/
    • Primary Static IP — the static IP that MyAlgoMate will place orders from — Angel One only accepts API orders that come from this IP (see the note below).
    • Secondary Static IP — optional — a second static IP for connectivity redundancy.
    • Postback URL — optional, you can leave it blank.
    • Angel Client ID — optional; enter your Angel One client id or leave it blank.
  • Click Create App. Your API Key is then shown on your SmartAPI dashboard — copy it.
Which static IP to use: if you run MyAlgoMate on your own machine, use your ISP's static IP; if you run it on a cloud machine, use that cloud server's static IP. Only IPv4 is supported for now, and you can update a mapped IP no more than once per calendar week — so double-check it before you save.
No static IP or cloud machine yet? Our Cloud Server for Algo Trading is a cloud machine built for algo trading, and it comes with its own static IP you can whitelist.

Step 2 — Enable TOTP and copy your TOTP key

  • Go to smartapi.angelone.in/enable-totp.
  • Enter your Angel One Client ID and your trading password or PIN.
  • Enter the OTP sent to your registered email and mobile number.
  • A QR code appears. Save the secret key shown with it — this is the TOTP key MyAlgoMate needs. Also scan the QR code into an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.), which then generates a fresh 6-digit code every 30 seconds.

Step 3 — Enter the details in MyAlgoMate

  • Open the broker login form in MyAlgoMate and enter your API Key, Client Code, MPIN and TOTP key, then save.

What you need to collect

To connect Angel One, the broker login form in MyAlgoMate needs four details:

  • API Key — from your SmartAPI app.
  • Client Code — your Angel One client id, the one you log in to Angel One with.
  • MPIN — your Angel One trading PIN.
  • TOTP key — the secret key from SmartAPI → Enable TOTP.

One more thing is set on Angel One's side when you create your app: a static IP that MyAlgoMate places orders from.

Which login to use

At https://smartapi.angelone.in/publisher-login/v2/login/, choose New Login to create a new static-IP-based API key — this is the current flow. The plain Login option only edits or disables older API keys.

SmartAPI is free

Angel One does not charge for SmartAPI — API access is free of cost, so there is no subscription to buy and nothing to renew. You only need an active Angel One trading account. (Angel One's own brokerage charges for your trades are separate and unchanged.)

Please check with Angel One for latest terms.

Static IP — required by Angel One

Important — static-IP changes are limited: you can update your registered static IP only once in 7 days (once per week). To change it sooner, you must ask your broker to update it for you.

Since 1 April 2026, SEBI's retail algo-trading rules require a registered static IP for API order placement. You now enter your Primary Static IP when you create your SmartAPI app, and Angel One only accepts API orders that originate from it. You may also register a Secondary Static IP for connectivity redundancy. Only IPv4 is supported for now, and you can update a mapped IP no more than once per calendar week. Use your ISP's static IP if you run MyAlgoMate locally, or your cloud machine's static IP if you run it on a server.

If you don't have a static IP, our Cloud Server for Algo Trading is a cloud machine built for algo trading and includes a static IP you can whitelist.

Redirect URL

When you create the app, set the Redirect URL to https://www.myalgomate.com/

Keep your keys private

Your API Key, MPIN and TOTP key are the keys to your own trading account — never share them with anyone. MyAlgoMate provides the automation technology; you set the rules and stay in control of your own trades.

// FAQ

Angel Broking — questions

Do I need a paid subscription to use Angel One's API?

No. Angel One's SmartAPI is free of cost — there is no subscription fee for API access. You only need an active Angel One trading account.

Which option do I choose on the SmartAPI login page?

Choose New Login at https://smartapi.angelone.in/publisher-login/v2/login/ — that creates a new static-IP-based API key, which is the current flow. The plain Login option is only for editing or disabling older API keys.

What Angel One details does MyAlgoMate need?

Four: your SmartAPI app's API Key, your Angel One Client Code, your MPIN, and your TOTP key. You enter all four in the broker login form in MyAlgoMate. Separately, you register a static IP when you create your SmartAPI app.

Which SmartAPI app type should I create?

Create the app for placing orders (Trading APIs). If you are offered a separate market-data app type, that one is only for live market data, not for placing orders.

Do I need a static IP for Angel One API trading?

Yes — since 1 April 2026, Angel One only accepts API orders that originate from your registered primary static IP, and you enter it when you create your SmartAPI app. You can add a secondary static IP for redundancy (IPv4 only), and update a mapped IP no more than once per calendar week. Use your ISP's static IP if you run MyAlgoMate on your own machine, or your cloud machine's static IP if you run it on a server. If you don't have one, our Cloud Server for Algo Trading includes a static IP.

What Redirect URL should I set in my SmartAPI app?

Set it to https://www.myalgomate.com/

Where do I find my Angel One TOTP key?

Go to smartapi.angelone.in/enable-totp, enter your Angel One Client ID and your trading password or PIN, then the OTP sent to your registered email and mobile. A QR code appears — save the secret key shown with it. That key is what you enter in MyAlgoMate; you can scan the QR into an authenticator app as well.
